Tomorrow, March 3 at 11:30am in Coffman 202, there will be an S.O.S. Coalition meeting to finalize planning for the March 4 Education Rights protest. All are invited.

Thurs. March 4th: National Day of Protest for Education Rights! Join WSAC, SDS, the Save our School Coalition and the Chop from the Top Coalition in demanding no more tuition hikes, no more layoffs, no forced furloughs, and shared governance now! Thurs. March 4th: Join WSAC and Amnesty for another installation of our Global Women film series: “Highway Courtesans,” a documentary about a woman born into prostitution in India. Fri., March 5th at noon: Come knit and chat with Bufandas by Yolanda, a weekly knitting group hosted in the WSAC office (CMU 202) and sponsored by the Women’s Center. All skill levels welcome.

Saturday, March 6th 9am-4pm: International Women’s Day conference in Coffman’s Great Hall. Stop by the WSAC table to say hello!

Sun., March 7th at 3pm in Walker Church (3104 16th Ave S): International Women’s Day film screening of “The Eyes of the Rainbow: A Documentary about Assata Shakur.” Sponsored by Freedom Road Socialist Organization. Wed., March 10th, 5pm in Coffman Theater: WSAC presents the Feministing panel! A discussion about the sexual climate on campus, women and the recession, where feminism is going today, and more led by 3 editors from the famous Feministing blog, and one of our own WSACers! Come early for a message from MN CAFE about the Equal Rights Amendment. FREE PIZZA! • Eating Disorder Awareness evaluation: SUCCESS! Thanks especially to Britt for all her work on this day of events.
• Feministing update: Sophie. Start promo: Every member should be making classroom announcements and inviting on FB. Aidan and Andrea will be flyering on the east bank. We need volunteers to flyer on the west bank—email wsac@umn.edu to volunteer, or just pick up some fliers from our front desk. We will have group postering this Friday: meet in WSAC at 2:30 to help.
