Do you have valuable skills that you want to share with LJA students? Were your college days the best days of your life? Are you a college student currently and wanting to share your experience? Well here is your chance and pass on your knowledge! LJA’s next intersession is all about post-secondary educational opportunities and LJA is looking for “professors” to teach LJA Scholar College courses. Intersessions are 4-5 day enrichment programs over the two week breaks at the end of each quarter. We are looking for “professors” on November 17th, 18th, and 19th between 8:30am-3:30pm. You choose the topic and plan the course and a teacher will assist you in the classroom. Teach all three days or just one 90 minute course. So far the majors offered at LJASC are nature studies including horticulture and earths science, physiology-women and sports, visual and performance arts, aerospace engineering, agricultural science, veterinary medicine, French, Spanish and American Sign Language; but we are open to suggestions or additions. We are also looking for chaperons for the Macalester and U of M field-trip on Monday and Friday November 16th and 20th. Grace Kelley has signed up to teach a class on sexual education. The curriculum currently includes an introduction to feminism and the Sex Ed for Everyone "Consent" video. What other ideas do you have?
