November 2nd 2009 WSAC Meeting Minutes

--Event Name: MPIRG presents: A discussion on the Equal Rights Marriage Amendment. Date: Thursday, November 12. Time: 7:00pm. Location: 331 Smith Hall. --Can any WSACers help table? –Pammy, Mia, Grace, Kira, Sophie. Invite one and all!

--QSCC Community Outreach Committee report back: Grace. High school outreach with GSA’s. Work with them: Lexi, Mia, Kira. contact: Courtney Baga bagax002@umn.edu with various different ideas.

--International Women’s Day invite Saturday March 6th, 8-4, Coffman Union. Co-sponsor with Advocates of Human Rights? Table? Getting more details. Can we present a workshop? Etc.

--“Consent” is on YouTube! –Brooke

--Names for our show? Clitstock? Estrogen Amplified? Rock the Patriarchy? We are still working on this. Share your ideas on the website!!

--Dance Dance Party Party at the Old Arizona 12/3? Kari’s idea. 90min. no boys, no booze. --$4 for 1-4 ladies, $3 for 5-15 ladies, and $2 for more than 15. Tabled until we find out more about gender definition. All ages.

--Steph from SDS: S.O.S. community forum 11/5 5:30pm in Coffman 202. WSAC members going: Andrea, Kira, Meghan, Amanda. Can WSAC also provide pizza as our coalition contribution: yes 3-4 pizzas. Can WSAC attendees be prepared to report back next week, yes.

--Steph: Flashmob! Funk the Administration Nov. 10th. National Protest for Education Rights. WSAC participation: sounds good.

--Molly: Voices Merging Hip Hop conference meeting update. April 9-11. First day is all about Women! Poetry, Spoken Word, female DJ, UDS grant DF grant SCUA partnership grant donations? WSAC help: outreach (our name on everything). Sunday tabling? We are very interested in this. As individual events come up we will address them. More on agendas in months to come.
