WSAC Agenda Nov 23 2009

-Gallery of Excellence report back: Andrea. We had a rocking poster! Antique buttons? Can Staff be members? Good questions were asked.

-Laura Jeffery Academy report back: Grace. Awesome! Great questions. Good turnout. Grace got a hug on the last day. =D

-Deborah Rosenstein: proposal for WSAC to reserve space for Union Women event. Seems great, AND we will pay the $150 for the room reservations!

-Evaluations: Pussy Party, Slumdog Millionaire, Divided We Fall, crafting party.

-UPCC Comprehensive Sex Ed discussion today with Lindsey, educator from Family Tree Clinic. 5pm today Nov. 23.

-Clothing Swap: ok to co-sponsor with the Women’s Center? Yes. Promo? Posters, listserves, meeting notes, etc. Where to donate clothes? How to set up room – bins, clothes line: volunteers to set up, drive clothes to destination?

-KFAI presents Amy Goodman this Sunday 11/29 @ Noon Cowles auditorium. $10 per ticket. WSAC will fund. Who’s going? Possibly Tracy, Steph, Andrew (from SDS), and Grace.

-“Persepolis”: Grace can rent. Promo? Lexi to poster. Classroom announcements? Daily and Wake? Grace to Daily. Mia to Facebook.

-12/1 Wilkins 8pm: diversity and social justice ice cream thing. Good recruitment opportunity. Who can do it? Bring new gorgeous display, promo for Clothes Swap, Persepolis, concert. Can someone please come with Kira to this event?

-12/1 AIDS/HIV awareness event Red Revolution in Mississippi room: Pammy has been working on this as WSAC rep. Can WSAC pay for poster designer and copies? $30+ copy price. Yes. Who can go? 5-7:30pm.

-12/2 S.O.S. mtg. with Tom & Jerry @ 2pm. WSAC rep? Depends on location.

-12/11 Roller Girls: Molly. Roller Disco. $7 for skate rentals and admission. St. Louis Park.

-Viva La Vulva show update: doors at 10pm. Should we cut one band? Do we have time, etc. Or should we cut the time slot?

-Viva La Vulva shirt update: Molly. Passed around.

-Advertising committee? Monday after the WSAC meeting, ordering on Tuesday.

-Brooke: announcement. Updates will be coming. Students thrown in jail.
